Saturday we opened the doors of our new studio so our friends could sneak a peak.  We were so excited to see everyone who braved the blustery winds to come out and share with us.  When we chose the date we knew many would not be able to come because of holiday preparations - we definitely understand!  If you didn't get a chance to come out, we don't want to leave you out.  Here's some photos of the studio.

The last photo is of our new block of the month.  It's 88" x 88" - $19.95 per month and includes everything you see.  We have a very limited number of kits so don't dilly dally if you want it or you may be disappointed.

I just had to share a very interesting piece I recently quilted.  It's a chuppa or hoopa which is the canopy under which a Jewish couple is wedded.  According to the Jewish Wedding and Chuppah blog  http://chuppah.blogspot.com/ the ceremony is often outside under the stars. I thought that was interesting because some of the fabric I was given to quilt had sparkles.  My photos don't truly show the beauty of the fabrics - the background was a beautiful lime green and the overlay fabric was almost like a chiffon with sparkles. 

Here are some closeup photos of the quilting I did on the piece.  All quilting was done freehand with no marking of any sort.

We now know patience is not one of our strong suits!  We just couldn't stand to wait until January to show off our new studio.  So, we decided to have an open house Dec 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at our newly remodeled studio at 14094 Pleasant Ridge Road in Rogers.  We are just minutes from downtown Rogers.  We will have refreshments.  Call us at 479-372-7403 if you need directions.

This Lynette Anderson with Kay and Darlene at Houston Quilt Market.  This is a quilt from Lynette's new line of fabric.  Kay designed the quilt and made it and I quilted it.  It was quite an honor for us.
